“This maternity shoot exceeded our expectations. We were so pleased with how beautiful everything turned out. Always a pleasure working with great people with a passion for what they are destined to do.”
Naydean Ruffin-Brisco
The environment created for any event is essential for the best memories that can be shared for a lifetime. In this particular setup, our team created an enchanted set design to celebrate the arrival of baby Nayla. It was the perfect aesthetic to shoot our expected mother with a timeless background of rustic brown and tan hues draped with intricate floor to ceiling floral features. Without going overboard with a standard pink theme, the mom-to-be requested calming tones of blush and ivory to neutralize the scene. Wearing a gorgeous light pink dress and a dapper tan suit, Nayla’s parents were overjoyed to capture their love and excitement of their new baby girl.

Hosted in the historic New Orleans Seraphim House built in 1860 and restored in 2015, the ballroom was an unquestionable match for the shoot. From the ebony floorboard to the caged chandeliers and richly distressed walls, the venue to added hints of character to this magical moment. For this design, it was essential to highlight the mother to be in a classic and elegant style. Nothing says classic like a beautiful arrangement of pink roses to symbolize the breathtaking journey of a mother and daughter. The array of florals graced the arm of a pale pink velvet couch and cradled the setting of the shoot to emphasize the beginning of a beautiful chapter. Showcased in the center of the room, this blush colored couch brought a modern touch to the overall rustic feel of the set.
With a combination of soft color palettes, greenery, and fresh roses, the set design allows for an incredible story to be shared visually, linking their love for one another and now their blossoming baby girl. Bringing in new life presents a world of happiness unlike any other. It was especially important to our clients to express and showcase this happiness for their daughter to see their parents in sheer amazement at what they’ve created. We were so thrilled to be able to bring their vision to life and fulfill the mother-to-be’s request for a unique set design that celebrated the arrival of a beautiful baby girl.
