When you think of unicorns, you don’t automatically think of wedding luxe. So we were thrilled when our full service client brought us a unicorn as the muse for the optics of her special day. It allowed us to reach deep into the VAR creativity of possibilities to create a wonderful, opulent fantasy despite setbacks that seemed impossible.

The Backstory

We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention how the pandemic affected the initial plans. However, as a wedding professional, I prepare for changes. Anything can happen and it did. With several venue, date, capacity and logistic changes due to the pandemic and Hurrican Eta’s aftermath, we were able to go from 250 people at The Jaxson in the French quarter of New Orleans to 50 people at the renowned Jon Vaccari House on St Charles.

At VAR Events, with the right resources, we make the impossible, possible. The day before the wedding a power outage threatened the wedding. With determination, Victoria was able to secure another venue and totally redesigned the wedding in less than 24 hours.

Iridescent Dream

To incorporate the unicorn muse VAR Events went for a lush, garden style ceremony aesthetic with touches of iridescence, branches and ornaments to fully capture the whimsical essence with sophistication.

Sweet, Sweet Fantasy

As the daylight gave way to the backdrop of stars, we transitioned the story into a flickering spectacle of sweet romance. A love story through and through.
